What safety features will the Hyundai Bayon offer? A simple guide to its expected 6 airbags, Level 2 ADAS and more, for Rajahmundry families.
For most families, safety comes first when buying a car. Hyundai says the new Bayon offers “advanced safety that keeps you protected and confident on every drive.” But what does that include? Here is a simple explanation of the safety features expected on the Bayon, and how each one protects you.
Note: Hyundai has confirmed an advanced safety focus but has not yet released the full safety list. Features below are based on media reports and will be confirmed at launch.
The Hyundai Bayon is expected to offer a strong set of safety features designed to provide better protection and confidence on the road. Expected features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Start Assist, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, rear parking sensors or a camera, and Level 2 ADAS. These features are designed to help protect occupants during a collision, improve vehicle stability during sudden turns or slippery conditions, prevent rollback on slopes, make parking easier, and provide additional driver assistance. As the Bayon has not yet launched, the final safety equipment and ADAS features will depend on Hyundai’s official India-specification announcement.
ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) uses cameras and radar to watch the road and help you avoid accidents. “Level 2” means the car can help with steering and speed together in certain situations, but you must stay in control at all times.
Common Hyundai ADAS features include:
• Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist: warns you and can brake automatically if a crash with the vehicle ahead is likely
• Lane Keeping Assist: gently steers you back if you drift out of your lane without indicating
• Smart Cruise Control: maintains a set speed and a safe gap from the car ahead
• Blind-Spot Collision Warning: alerts you to vehicles in your blind spot
• Driver Attention Warning: alerts you if it detects you are tired
• High Beam Assist: switches between high and low beam automatically
Exact ADAS features for the Bayon will be confirmed at launch.

• NH-16 highway drives: Smart Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist can reduce fatigue.
• Night driving: High Beam Assist and Driver Attention Warning help you stay safe.
• Town traffic: Forward collision warnings act as a backup when someone brakes suddenly.
Remember: ADAS works best on well-marked roads. On village roads with no lane markings, livestock or two-wheelers, stay extra alert. ADAS is a helper, not an autopilot.
• Everyone wears a seatbelt, including rear passengers
• Use a proper child seat with ISOFIX for young children
• Keep your car serviced, since brakes and tyres matter as much as electronics
• Clean ADAS sensors and the windscreen camera area regularly, especially in the monsoon
Media reports suggest 6 airbags. Hyundai will confirm at launch.
Level 2 ADAS is reported. Hyundai has confirmed an “advanced safety” focus.
Yes, especially on highways and at night. On unmarked roads, some features may work less effectively.
No crash test results have been announced yet. We’ll update this page when ratings are published.
