The new Hyundai BAYON SUV launches on 26 October. Explore its engine, features and safety, and pre-book at Lakshmi Hyundai Visakhapatnam.
Vizag, Hyundai’s newest SUV has arrived. The India-spec Hyundai BAYON was revealed on 12 October 2026 and launches on 26 October 2026. Pre-bookings are open at Lakshmi Hyundai Visakhapatnam.
Sitting between the VENUE and the CRETA, the BAYON is a well-equipped SUV for families who want more without overspending.
Whether it’s an evening along RK Beach Road or a weekend climb to Araku Valley, the BAYON is ready. Its 1.5-litre petrol engine (about 115 PS) comes with a 6-speed manual or a smooth CVT automatic. On the ghat roads to Araku and Lambasingi, electronic stability control adds confidence.
Vizag’s humid days call for a cabin that stays fresh. The BAYON offers ventilated front seats, automatic climate control and rear AC vents. A sunroof and an 8-speaker Bose system make every drive more enjoyable.
The BAYON debuts Hyundai’s generative AI voice assistant in India, powered by Perplexity and SoundHound AI. Hyundai has announced regional language support; ask our team about Telugu voice commands. Twin 12.3-inch screens, NVIDIA-powered navigation and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come together in one curved panel.
The BAYON brings a fresh design to Vizag’s roads. Slim inverted-L LED daytime running lamps are connected by a piano-black strip, and the LED headlamps sit at the edges of a bold, horizontal-slat grille. A large bumper with a chunky skid plate gives it a rugged SUV face.
From the side, sharp creases, flared wheel arches and up to 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels give it a muscular look. Blacked-out pillars create a floating-roof design. The rear repeats the inverted-L lighting theme with connected tail lamps, a roof spoiler and a shark-fin antenna. Picture it parked by Rushikonda Beach at sunset.
Inside, a black-and-white dual-tone theme with white leatherette seats gives the BAYON a light, premium feel. The dashboard features vertical AC vents, a sculpted centre and Hyundai’s new steering wheel design.
Soft-touch padding on the steering, gear knob and armrests keeps things comfortable on long drives. All five seats come with adjustable headrests, and rear passengers get their own AC vents. The twin 12.3-inch screens in one curved housing keep all your information neatly in view, whether you’re in city traffic or on the way to Araku.
Six airbags are standard on every BAYON. Higher variants add Level 2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera, useful on busy stretches like Dwaraka Nagar and Gajuwaka.
